What do I do about low blood sugar & hunger on Dr Pearsall's Protocol?

Some people will have low blood sugars on a moderate carb diet especially during the first 5 days of adjusting.

Low blood sugars symptoms include feeling hungry, light headed, irritable, spacey, weak, headaches. If you are struggling with these symptoms, then you need to consume something every time you get hungry to keep your blood sugars stable.

Here are some ideas to do to keep your blood sugars stable:

*Eating 6-8 small meals a day when hungry

*Drinking 10 ounces of water with psyllium or colon cleanse powder followed by 8 ounces of water 3-6 times a day. It helps you feel full.

* Eating protein and fat with every meal.

* Eating bowls of low starch vegetables 6-10 times a day.

* Drinking vegetable soup/broths/vegetable juice throughout the day.

* Drinking lemonade made from lemon juice and stevia and/or diluted tomato juice or diluted vegetable juices throughout the day.

* Drinking 1-2 protein shakes between meals with 1/2 cup frozen berries.

* Eat beans/legumes/lentils with your meals. They have fiber and good carbs that will make you feel full.

You eat or drink all of these things at different times of day so that you have a constant low level intake of calories to keep your blood sugars steady. Ideally, we should all eat 6-8 times a day.
